The investment strategy we implement for you will be designed around your objectives, resources, and risk tolerance, and will influence turnover depending on the portfolio. For tax-sensitive clients we generally hold profitable positions for more than a year. Our goal is to avoid redemption fees, as we know that our clients take a dim view of unnecessary expenses. However, there may be times where unusual market conditions call for a reduction in risk, and we may determine that paying a redemption fee is prudent.

We offer a rich menu of different investment strategies that span the risk specturm, ranging from low-risk income generation to aggressive capital appreciation.

Each strategy is realized through a portfolio of 4-6 Fidelity mutual funds (non-Fidelity funds may be used where the desired exposure is not available through Fidelity).

If you depend on your portfolio for living expenses, or if you’re uncomfortable taking risks in the stock market, our diversified bond strategies generate income while seeking a small amount of capital appreciation in the high-yield sector.

Our hybrid strategies offer a conservative path to long-term growth. By combining stock funds, bond funds, and asset allocation funds, we aim to keep ahead of inflation while maintaining an overall risk level that’s lower than the S&P 500.

If you have time on your side and you’re willing to take on a higher level of risk, we can invest your portfolio entirely in stock funds, with an option to put some or all of your holdings in actively-managed sector funds. We focus on Fidelity’s Select family because we believe it offers fundamental advantages over passively-managed ETFs.
